My husband had emergency surgery last year and was in the hospital for 28 days.  I was completely overwhelmed with fear and anxiety.  He had so many different doctors besides his surgeon.  Doctors for his kidneys, his heart, and his lungs that I was unable to understand or keep up with all their information/diagnoses.  Then I met Mary who was a Godsend!  She took the time to sit with me and explain in terms that I could understand, what each of the doctors were doing and why.  Mary answered all my questions and would actually come with me and speak to the doctors so she could get the information firsthand and explain it to me.  My husband is home now and doing great.  I can’t thank or recommend Mary enough to anyone else that might have to deal with the scary circumstances of hospitals and doctors treating your loved one.

My experience with Mary has been exceptional. She is truly the most genuinely kind person; she really spent the time to get to know my father and his needs. She is so knowledgeable in and around the healthcare industry and was able to navigate Dr. appointments and medications with my father and his Dr.’s. Mary really helped with the workload of caring for my elderly father. I highly recommend Mary Holloway as an advocate and voice for elder care. She’s a true gem.

I can’t praise Mary from Priority Patient Advocates enough. She “saved” my sister. My sister was hospitalized in Phila, and I live in Florida, so I could only visit her once, for a few days. We have no family in Phila. We desperately needed a patient advocate for my sister.

Mary came to the rescue. She traveled regularly from New Jersey to Phila. to help my sister in every way possible. She talked to her doctors, nurses, aides, and even the kitchen staff in the hospital and the Rehabilitation Center. She reviewed all her medications and intervened on my sister’s behalf whenever anything seemed “off.” Mary was not afraid to question any staff member, as she deemed necessary on the patient’s behalf. She did so with confidence, in a most friendly manner, and with the utmost respect. She scheduled my sister’s appointments, ran errands, organized her belongings and mail, and just got the job done, whatever the job was.

It is so very important for a patient with no family around to have someone so caring and competent ……as Mary has been and continues to be. She is more than an advocate. She is a friend. She was crucial in my sister’s recovery. I thank G-d for Mary seeing my sister through it all. Even if I could have been there with my sister during her recovery, I would have lacked the skills and “where-with-all” that Mary displayed to support her patient. Patient Priority is truly what she delivers. Thank you, Mary, from the bottom of my heart.
